Features
Do one thing and do it well. QuicProxy was written from scratch and is continually tuned to balance performance, memory, power, security, and usability.
Written in Rust

The QuicProxy core is written entirely in Rust (2024 edition), and the same core compiles to Windows, Android, iOS, Linux, and routers.
| Property | What you get |
|---|---|
| Ownership and borrow checking | Null pointers, data races, and buffer overflows ruled out at compile time |
| No GC, zero-cost abstractions | No garbage-collection pauses, steady latency, low memory |
| Tokio async runtime | A handful of threads serve a huge number of connections |
| Quinn + Rustls | Pure-Rust QUIC and TLS, no OpenSSL dependency |
Zero RTT Throughout
For a proxied TCP connection, the connection cost looks like this:
| Approach | Establish / recover | Extra cost |
|---|---|---|
| TCP-based (e.g. Trojan) | TCP three-way handshake + TLS handshake | 2.5 RTT |
| Other QUIC (e.g. Hysteria2) | Streams reuse an existing connection, but a broken connection must be rebuilt | 1 RTT |
| Shadowquic | QUIC Connection Early Data resumes traffic even after the connection drops | 0 RTT |
Highly available on unstable networks — for example on a high-speed train where the device keeps switching cell towers, Shadowquic switches smoothly and users barely notice reconnects.
Automatic Smart Routing
No rules to write — import a subscription and routing just works:
- Mainland China vs. overseas, automatically: mainland sites connect directly, overseas sites go through the proxy.
- Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan count as overseas: "mainland China" excludes them.
- Precise identification: high-accuracy GeoIP correctly identifies sites such as Instagram, Facebook, and Google, without relying on bloated domain lists.
- Cached results: routing decisions are stored in a KV cache, so the same domain never needs another DNS or GeoIP lookup.
- No DNS leaks: secure DNS is on by default, so overseas lookups are not exposed to your local ISP.
| Site | Identified as | Route |
|---|---|---|
| instagram.com, facebook.com, google.com | Overseas | Proxy |
| Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan sites | Overseas | Proxy |
| bilibili.com, taobao.com | Mainland China | Direct |
UDP Friendly
Full Cone with UDP Extension solves long-standing issues such as slow proxied QUIC traffic. UDP stays encrypted and unordered, which matches how UDP is meant to work and suits games and voice chat.
Advanced Congestion Control
Waiting for upstream adaptation.
BBRv3 brings lower startup latency and a steadier congestion window, and shines on mobile networks where signal quality changes often.
Low Memory Usage
Unnecessary features are removed. Even with TUN enabled, memory in heavy daily use rarely exceeds 20 MB, staying well under Apple's 50 MB limit.
Every Platform
Windows, Android, iOS, Linux (with or without a GUI), and routers are supported, with macOS coming soon. Every platform shares the same core.
